Lot details Registration No: HHG 84N Chassis No: CR6590 Mot Expiry: April 2005
Produced between 1969 and 1975, the Karman-styled TR6 was the first TR to have headlights positioned at the corners, the tail being radically redesigned with wrap-around rear lamps.
Offered here is an original UK market righthand drive example. The 2-seater first left the Triumph works in 1975, since when it has had four previous owners. We understand that it had a full body and interior restoration three years ago and a mechanical overhaul seven years ago. During the past year an unleaded fuel conversion has been carried out with valves replaced and hardened valve seats fitted, and the Bosch fuel injection pump and metering unit as well as the injectors have been renewed.
Current condition of open bodywork and red paintwork is said to be excellent and black interior very good. The 2.5-litre six, 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and all electrical equipment are reportedly in very good order. Backed up by old MOTs on file, the 71,300 miles displayed when entered is believed by the vendor to be the genuine total.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
