  • Four former keepers and current ownership since 2011

The London Taxi Company was a taxi design and manufacturing company based in Coventry, England. It formerly traded as London Taxis International and Carbodies. Over 130,000 London black cabs have been produced at the London Taxi Company's Coventry site over the past 60 years. Annual production averaged between 2,000 and 2,500 units per year. Around two-thirds of production goes into London via a dealership in Islington.

This particular example of this iconic British stalwart of motoring, which is synonymous with London was arguably the best version of the iconic FX4 ever made. Fitted with a Nissan 2.7 litre diesel engine mated to an automatic gearbox ‘K133EYV’ has had just four former keepers and has been in current ownership since 2011. Offered with a collection of invoices, old MOT certificates and displays a credible but unwarranted 303,608 miles, the vendor informs us the Taxi has been subject to general maintenance and two new rear doors under his ownership and currently considers the engine, transmission, interior to be in `Very Good' order with the bodywork and paintwork all to be `Good'. Great fun, a practical people mover and a real headturner.

Arguably the best version of the iconic FX4 ever made, it has the Nissan 2.7 litre diesel engine and automatic gearbox. With four former keepers and current ownership since 2011, it will be offered with a fresh MoT certificate.

Vendor Condition Ratings:

Bodywork: 'Good’
Engine: 'Very Good'
Electrical Equipment: 'Very Good'
Paintwork: ‘Good'
Gearbox: 'Very Good'
Interior Trim: 'Very Good'
