Damian Jones

Director

Born in Hammersmith, Damian inherited a wide-ranging love of motorcars from his engineer-turned-barrister father. Joining Sotheby’s just days after completing his finals (having spent the previous summer there as an intern), he remained part of the firm’s Motorcar Department until its demise in 1999. Aside from a brief spell with BSkyB thereafter, Damian has spent his entire working career in the auction industry.

Employed by Brooks (now Bonhams) and Cheffins before moving to H&H in 2005, he has been involved in the consignment and sale of such high profile lots as the ex-Woolf Barnato 1929 Bentley 4½ Litre Tourer ‘GU 1927’, ex-Hon. Brian Lewis 1931 Talbot AV105 Fox & Nicholl Team Car ‘GO 54’, ex-Graham Hill 1970 Lotus 72 F1 Single-Seater and ex-Richard Colton 1960 Ferrari 250GT SWB.
