Transports of delight: Harrods Rolls-Royce Phantom V1 for valued clients, plus boat & bus

1969 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Estimate £70,000 - £80,000

When you want customers to know they are valued what do you send to collect them and transport them to your business? On October 21 H&H Classics Auction Online offers three ‘transports of delight’, which provide the answer to that question with a boat, a bus and a Rolls Royce from Harrods.

The 1969 Rolls-Royce Phantom V1 was entered in the sale from a private museum collection. It was acquired by Mohamed Al-Fayed, Harrods owner, in 1994 and treated to an extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration. It is estimated to sell for £70,000 to £80,000.

It is finished in Harrods Green with basket weave-effect side panels and a tan roof with faux pram irons.

Its bespoke interior was created by SC Gordon Ltd and comes complete with a television, VHS video player, fax machine, wine cooler, cocktail cabinet and three telephones, not to mention a custom headlining screen printed with the Harrods logo.

1937 Renault TN4H Autobus Estimate £14,000 - £18,000

For an authentic taste of vintage Paris how about this charming 1937 autobus entered in the sale by a private museum collection for an estimate of £14,000 to £18,000.

It was reputedly in service on the streets of Paris from 1937 through to 1971 and still has the original period fittings including seats, signs and even advertisements.

It has been kept in running order and taken to various shows and rallies. The bus features a torquey 5.8 litre four-cylinder engine.

2004/06 Athena Class Elegance steam launch ‘The Lady Constance’ - estimate £30,000 - £35,000

Entered from a private museum collection this launch is modelled on a 1914 design and was built in 2004-06 by Glyn Lancaster Jones of The Traditional Boatshop. It is estimated to sell for £30,000 to £35,000.

Its dimensions are: length: 26ft 4in, beam: 5ft 6in, draft: 1ft 6in. It is powered by a Slavery-type Compound Steam Engine developing 6hp @ 600rpm. Its aft saloon will seat six people in comfort.

The launch was previously afloat in Poole harbour. It comes with its own purpose-built trailer.
