H&H Classics have started 2022 in a bullish way, launching a brand-new sale category this week – bespoke Classic Scooter auctions.
The first specialist sale of classic scooters takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum on April 6th and will offer the most comprehensive range of classic scooters sold at auction in the UK.
To lead this new sale venture H&H have selected Paul Diamond as their specialist vintage scooter consultant. Paul attends numerous rallies each year and is well known throughout the UK and Europe. He is regularly called upon to judge at the most prestigious scooter concours d’elegance for the Vintage Motor Scooter Club, Spirit of 84, The Awfully Pleasant Scooter Association and the Brighton Mod Weekender to name just a few.
Paul has been collecting and riding scooters for over 40 years, buying his first scooter for £10 at the age of 16 and has since owned hundreds of Lambrettas, Vespas and other marques.
As a genuine enthusiast, Paul is looking forward to helping H&H realise the best audience for the sale of scooters in the UK and beyond and assist buyers with his expert eye for detail.
The auction kicks off with a rare original paint Milan-built 1969 Lambretta DL200 designed by Nuccio Bertone who was acclaimed for his designs for Ferrari and Lamborghini. The auction estimate is £9,000- £10,000
H&H Classics MD, Colette McKay, comments: “We are delighted to announce The Vintage Scooter Auction, the first of its kind ever held. This is an opportunity to be part of what promises to be a very exciting sale, and the first of many such.”
