H&H was proud to sponsor, and attend, the Lancashire Automobile Club’s Eighth Triennial Motor Sport Luncheon on Sunday November 18th 2018. H&H Chairman, Simon Hope, started proceedings with not one but two graces prompting the LAC to remark "you always get great value for money with Simon!"

Guests on the H&H table included: father and son Sydney and Edward Brown, Martin Ingham, Brian Baines, Martyn Bracegirdle, Helen Bashford Malkie and Paul Owens. An integral part of the Chevron story, the latter was only too keen to point out that guest speaker Brian Redman had lapped Spa Francorchamps faster in a B19 than a Porsche 917. Indeed, Stuttgart’s fearsome sports racer got quite a tongue lashing from not just Brian Redman but also fellow attendees Richard Atwood and David Piper. BMC luminaries Warwick Banks and Mike Wood were also present.

The three-course meal at the Stirk House Hotel was pleasant and the wine flowed almost as freely as the conversation. All in all a memorable and enjoyable day. H&H looks forward to sponsoring the LAC’s Ninth Triennial Motor Sport Luncheon in 2021.
