Buying at a H&H Classics' auction couldn't be simpler, and we've broken it down into 5 easy steps. You can read them below, or watch this handy video:
Clients are required to register to bid at each individual auction and will need to provide photographic identification when doing so at the auction venue.
If you are already on our client database then we can print a Bidder’s Registration Form to sign, otherwise you will need to complete a form with your full details.
Clients can also bid remotely, this can be done easily by login in to your account or simply creating one using the ‘My Account’ section of our website.
Catalogue descriptions are produced entirely from information provided by the Vendor about each Lot, so we always recommend you view in person any and all Lots you are interested in and inspect any paperwork available in the Documents Office.
Should you be unable to make it to the auction in person, H&H can offer clients Condition Reports and Photograph Requests.
Condition Report: An H&H specialist will walk around the Lot(s) you are interested in while on the telephone and look at any areas of interest.
Photograph Request: An H&H team member will take further photographs of the Lot(s) you are interested in and post them online for you to view.
PLEASE NOTE: H&H staff are not mechanics and the information provided is only their honest opinion about what they see in front of them.
Make yourself known to the auctioneer when you wish to bid on the Lot, either by a wave or a shout if they haven’t seen you.
Once they have taken a bid from you, they will always come back to you if you have been outbid.
Should you be unable to make it to the sale in person, bids can be placed by logging in to the ‘My Account’ section of our website to place Commission Bids or to Bid Live on the day.
We also accept Telephone Bids by completing and submitting a form, which can be downloaded by clicking here.
Payment for Lots is required by 1pm the day following the auction and can be made by any form of cleared funds. We accept a variety of payment methods, including Bank Transfer, Debit Card (upto £20,000) and Credit Card (up to £5,000). Should payment not be received by then, any Lot(s) will be taken into storage at the Buyer's expense.
