Lot details Registration No: NRR 92K Chassis No: T.B.A. Mot Expiry: July 2005
According to the vendor of this late-entered MGB GT, the 1972-built coupe has only done 3000 miles since having been in receipt of a £10,000 renovation, completed in 1998, since when it has always been garage-stored between drives. Following the bodywork restoration, the fixed head was repainted in the current and most attractive Rosso Red, while both suspension and brakes have been uprated by a fully qualified engineer.
Interestingly, too, both engine and transmission have been changed, with a Rover 2-litre 16-valve four and a 5-speed manual gearbox fitted, both of which are reportedly in good order. Current condition of bodyshell and paintwork are claimed to be excellent, electrical equipment very good and wheels and tyres described as being almost as new.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
