This late entered Renault 4CV, which left the French factory in 1956 (a total of 1,105,543 being made before production was phased out in 1961), first came to the UK during the 1960s when it reportedly appeared in films. The lefthand drive saloon then belonged to a Yorkshire collection from 1987 to 1997 since when it has been used regularly by the present owner.
The current condition of the 4-door bodywork is described as good and the blue paintwork and grey interior fair. Both 750cc 4-cylinder rear-mounted motor and 3-speed transmission are reportedly in good order, whilst the 45,000 kilometers displayed on the odometer when entered for the sale is believed to be the genuine total for the car from new.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
