Said to be one of just nine such Silver Dawns clothed by eminent coachbuilder James Young, 'OUC 779' is presented in the elegant combination of Silver Chalice coachwork and Green hide interior trim, carpets and over-rugs. Copies of the factory cards reveal the first owner to have been Sarkis Madi of Bathurst, Gambia, West Africa. The car's history file also includes a letter from John Gordon of Frank Dale & Stepsons stating he personally owned the Rolls for a year in the 1970s before selling it to a Mr Dille - the last keeper retained it for 20 years. The vendor informs us that there's 'no excessive corrosion visible' on the bodywork, the paintwork has only 'minor blemishes', the interior trim is 'excellent', the engine is 'good and drives well' and the automatic transmission is 'very good/smooth' He is offering the car with all tools, three under bonnet oilers, original radio and inspection lamp.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
