Lot details Registration No: YT 7340 Chassis No: 34EF Mot Expiry: Feb 2005
This late entered Rolls-Royce Phantom I was first registered YT 7340 on 15 September 1927. Originally a Thrupp and Maberly cabriolet, chassis number 34EF was rebodied with the lovely open tourer coachwork on the car today during restoration by John Bloor. The overhead valve six was apparently last rebuilt in 1975 when it was run-in on a trip to Monte Carlo.
Chassis and bodywork are described as being very good, maroon paintwork good and beige interior very good. Both engine and manual transmission are reportedly in very good order. It is believed that the 81,160 mileage displayed could well be the genuine total for the car and, apart from an MOT pass certificate that is current until next February, also in the document file is an original registration document from County Hall, Durham.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
