Lot details Registration No: BFA160Y Chassis No: 0135623 Mot Expiry: March 2005
The oh so distinctive Fiat X1/9 saw the Italian colossus enter the 2-seater popular sportscar market. Guiseppe Puleo created an ingenious car employing many Fiat 128 components with compact coupe bodywork designed by one of the great Italian styling houses, Bertone. Production of their mid-engined GT commenced in 1972.
The current condition of this 1982-built X1/9, a righthand drive 1500 targa-top in metallic gold with beige interior, is described by the vendor as being excellent, while he believes the 43,560 miles displayed on the odometer when entered for the sale to be the genuine total mileage for the nimble Italian from new. Sold new by a long established Fiat dealer, who has also always serviced the car correctly, BFA 160Y is claimed still to be all original.
We see from the current MOT certificate that this exotically styled miniature Grand Tourer will not require testing again until next March. A new owner also has the considerable benefit of an active and well supported Owners Club and should be rewarded with plenty of enjoyable miles per pound.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
