Purchased by Mr James Edmund McManus of Cranliegh, Surrey on the 6th January 1992 this rare 260E was cherished by him for exactly 22 years to the day before being purchased by the current owner on 6th January 2014. During Mr McManus's tenure the Mercedes was serviced regularly by the supplying main agent until 2002 at 45,887 miles and from then on was handled by Mercedes specialists eight times until 28/12/2012 at 61,337 miles.

Now showing just c.62,652 miles, this cherished 260E is described by the vendor as being in 'excellent' condition with regard to its Arctic White paintwork, bodywork and Blue cloth interior trim, while he rates the 2.6-litre engine, automatic transmission and electrical equipment as 'very good'. 'J51 KTC' was ordered new with air conditioning, cruise control, outside temperature indicator and self-levelling suspension all of which are priced on the original purchase invoice which is still in the large history file that accompanies the car. The file also includes the service booklet with 18 stamps, various invoices for works done dating from 1992-2012, an MOT valid until 5/01/2016 and the current V5C.
