Lot details Registration No: EBH243B Chassis No: CA2S7549691 Mot Expiry: March 2014
Born out of the BMC Competition Department's desire to go circuit racing, the 970cc-powered Cooper S was a homologation special that accounted for just 963 sales. Stated to have had seven custodians to date and to have been dry-stored for twenty-seven years prior to entering the current ownership, 'EBH 243B' was treated to an extensive restoration in 2010/2011. A trained panel beater, the vendor managed to repair the Mini's original shell himself but had its factory-fitted 970cc engine professionally overhauled. Refinished in its original livery of Old English White with a Black roof, the Austin sports Red/Grey brocade trim and has covered just 330 miles since work was completed. A tantalising prospect, it is offered for sale with a fresh MOT and (free) road fund licence.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle has an MOT until March 2014.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
