Lot details Registration No: HRK695K Chassis No: XAD131216OA Mot Expiry: Aug 2004
This late entered Mini Cooper S, a righthand drive S saloon which was built in January 1971, as confirmed by a letter on file from the BL Heritage Centre at Gaydon and an original sales invoice dated October 1971, has been in receipt of an engine rebuild by Oxford specialists of Oxford at 95,000 miles. The 145,000 recorded mileage when entered is believed to be the vendor - who has been the owner since 1986 of this hydrolastic suspension car with disc brakes at the front and twin tanks - to be the genuine total from new.
Some body panels have been renewed over the years, the subframes refurbished, brakes renewed and interior refurbished with front seats and dashboard recovered with Newton Commercial trim kits. Alloys and tyres were replaced only two years ago. Current condition of bronze yellow paintwork is rated as being good, interior very good, whilst engine, 4-speed manual gearbox and electrical equipment are reportedly in good order. Check out the invoices detailing the extensive work carried out to this road tax exempt historic in the H&H documents office here at Buxton.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
