Lot details Registration No: MAN 31K Chassis No: BBATAU10208 Mot Expiry: None
This splendid-looking MKI Escort was originally converted to competition specification by renowned rally exponent Ian Corkhill in order to contest the Isle of Man event, and one of its greatest results to date has been outright victory in the historic section of the 2003 Barbados Rally Carnival by the huge margin of five minutes. The vendor informs us that all the Ford's running gear and ancillaries are of the correct specification. It is powered by a Wilcox 2-litre BDG engine running on twin Webers and has only completed one event since a full overhaul by Den Motorsport. The Escort is finished in Red and Silver livery and is felt by the vendor to be "excellent" in all major departments.
PLEASE NOTE: This lot was modified to RS1600 specification by Ian Corkhill but began life as a humbler two-door variant.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
