Lot details
Registration No: 639 KKR
Chassis No: AN5/39774
Mot Expiry: April 2008

Finished in white with red vinyl upholstery, this particular example is variously described by the vendor as being in "good" (948cc engine, four-speed manual gearbox, chassis, bodywork), "good / working" (electrical equipment), "very good" (interior trim), "excellent" (paintwork) or "new" (tyres) condition. A 'home market' car that was reputedly despatched by the Works to main agent Anstey's Ltd of Maidstone (Kent) on May 30th 1960, '639 KKR' was allowed to keep its original registration number following the completion of an extensive restoration in 1988. Thought to retain such period correct components as its "steering wheel, instrumentation and dynamo tacho drive", the 'Frogeye' further benefits from an all-steel bonnet, full tonneau cover, hood / sidescreens, rear-mounted luggage rack and wire wheels. Said to have been in its last owner's possession for five years, this characterful sportscar is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until April 2nd 2008.
