Lot details Registration No: CMU 927 Chassis No: EX54HB02648 Mot Expiry: Nov 2016
OSI was established in Turin in 1960 as a body-making subsidiary of Carrozzeria Ghia. From manufacturing for Fiat and Innocenti it began producing its own vehicles, not least some 2,000 Ford 2.3-litre V6-engined versions of the Ford Taunus-based 20M TS Coupe featuring Ghia-designed four-seater coachwork. 'CMU 927' had had considerable work carried out prior to the vendor's purchase in 2003 - eg £5,000 worth of bodywork by Marquis Cars and a retrimmed interior. It had also been fitted with a Burton Engines 2.8-litre Ford V6 powerplant, new clutch and stainless steel exhaust system, and the braking and suspension systems attended to. After a spell at the vendor's home in Japan, it moved to his holiday residence in Italy before coming to the UK in 2014. He presently describes this rare and interesting OSI as being in 'generally very good condition and ready to use and enjoy'. It comes with V5 and history file.
