Estimated at £14,000 - £16,000

Lot details

Registration No: J234XHO
Chassis No: JT1LBMA7000159901
MOT: July 2021

  • 1 of only 90 UK Mk3 Supra’s produced in Teal Green and the only one thought to still survive
  • Engine recommissioning and front-end paint restoration in 2020 totalling over £9500
  • Significant other restoration works during current 6-year ownership with invoices for parts and work completed on file
  • Sizeable history file including stamped service book, owner’s manual, original wallet, vast collection of past invoices, and large number of MOTs
  • Offered with extensive spares package

The A70 (third generation) Supra was introduced in February 1986, fitted with an updated 2954cc straight-six engine reported to produce 200hp in period, and offered with both automatic or manual transmission. Production cars from the 1991 model year were fitted with the new 5-spoke wheel design, front "Supra" emblem changed to the current corporate oval Toyota symbol and speedometer was also revised. A total of some 241,471 units were eventually produced worldwide, but only 90 UK Teal Green examples were made and this is believed to be the only left in existence.

This 3.0i Turbo example is an excellent example therefore of a rare specification. Subject to extensive recommissioning and restoration works during the vendors 6-year custodianship, most recently this year the Supra has been given an engine rebuild (which included full head rework new valve stem seals, bottom end bearings, piston rings, head gasket, copper tip spark plugs, and leads and additional work) and paint rectification costing a total of c.£9,500. An extensive list of work completed during the vendors ownership is available on request, as is a full inventory of the comprehensive spares package offered with the Supra.

The vendor unsurprisingly considers the Toyota to have ‘excellent’ bodywork, paintwork, engine, and automatic transmission, and ‘very good’ interior trim. ‘J234 XHO’ is offered complete with full UK V5C, two keys, stamped service book with original owner’s manual, additional original booklets, and wallet, a vast collection of past invoices, and a large number of previous MOTs. Find another this well restored and maintained!

Vendor Condition Ratings:

Bodywork: ‘Excellent'
Engine: ‘Excellent'
Electrical Equipment: ‘Excellent'
Paintwork: ‘Excellent'
Gearbox: ‘Excellent'
Interior Trim: 'Very Good'
