Though over 70,000 E-Types were manufactured all told, a high percentage were exported to the USA, and it's intriguing to note that just 1,583 Series 1 4.2 Coupes were produced in right-hand drive form; of which the sale car is one. According to the accompanied heritage certificate 'FPO 909C' vacated the Browns lane production line on the 19th January 1965 and was dispatched to Henley's of London three weeks later. Originally Finished in Carman red the Jaguar was repainted in the early 2000's in the vendors preferred jaguar colour of Signal Red with the interior being re-trimmed in Black leather finished with Red piping. In Current ownership since 1999 this matching engine number example is believed to have been the former property of football legend Dean Saunders and a letter to this effect is included in the history file. Riding on new wire wheels shod with Pirelli tyres the Jaguar is offered with an extensive history file which includes the heritage certificate, green log book, invoices and old MOT's. Previously benefiting from an engine and rear axle overhaul the Jaguar is also fitted with Stainless steel tail pipes and is offered with a current MOT certificate into March 2016. Upon the successful sale the original wire wheels can be collected from the vendor.
