Further info:
'L736 XLK' is a 1994 K1500 Pickup truck that's understood to have had just one UK registered keeper since arriving on these shores in 1997. Powered by a 5.6-ltre V8 engine, it is a wide-bodied version complete with rear roll bars equipped with spot lamps, and a heavy-duty chromed front bumper with winch. GMC is one of America's oldest vehicle manufacturers, the seeds of which were sown by Max Grabowsky in 1901, and in domestic terms is now the second-largest-selling division of the giant General Motors corporation, behind Chevrolet. In 1916 a GMC truck traversed America from Seattle to New York in 30 days, and during WWII the company manufactured 600,000 trucks for the American armed forces. Its 1956 range featured the option of V8 engines for the first time alongside its proven six-cylinder ones. The K series half, three-quarter and one ton products were manufactured from 1960 to 1998.
