One the many smaller Italian motorcycle manufacturers to emerge during Italy's post-war motorcycle boom, Mi-Val origins lay in the manufacture of machine tools with motorcycle production commencing in 1950 and continuing into the late sixties when they returned to their core business. They became a licensed producer of the Messerschmitt "bubble car" which was fitted with an engine of their own manufacture, but are perhaps best known for their participation in off road motorcycle competition, fielding a team in the 1950 ISDT that included Eric Oliver and Olga Kevelos.
This pretty little example of their road bike production has, until recently formed part of a private collection in Italy. The vendor describes it as being in "good" condition with regard to the engine, transmission, electrics and cycle parts having benefitted from a partial restoration which has seen the brightwork and paintwork returned to very good condition with the exception of the fuel tank which retains its original paint and decals. It is offered with an original logbook.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
