The Singer Roadster was a two-door, four-seat Convertible version of the company's Bantam Saloon. Power came from that car's 1074cc engine, but the output was slightly higher (36bhp). The model re-emerged virtually unchanged after the war, and remained so until the 4A variant of 1949, which featured a Solex carburettor in place of the SU and benefited from a four- rather than three-speed gearbox. The beautifully-presented 4A now being sold has been in the same caring ownership for the last 40 years. It is finished in a mix of Green and Beige and, according to the vendor, 'looks like new despite having been used on a daily basis'. He further informs us that the seats and vinyl roof are '100 percent', that the car 'always starts on the button' and is 'both nice and fun to drive'. The little Singer has won numerous trophies which are to be included with the car.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
