Lot details Registration No: XX 4636 Chassis No: 61339 Mot Expiry: Exempt
Supplied new by Panhard & Levassor's British concessionaire based at 147/9 Great Portland St, London W1, chassis 61339 was first road registered as `XX 4636' on 17th March 1925. An elegant saloon with division finished in Maroon over Black, it appears to retain much of its original Beige cord upholstery (though, the front seat bases look to have been re-trimmed in Black leather). Reportedly the property of renowned restorer / collector David `Bunty' Scott-Moncrieff for many years, the X45 still retains its factory-fitted sleeve-valve four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual transmission. Nicely detailed, `XX 4636' sports a brass radiator shell, rear-mounted luggage trunk, fork-mounted Phares Besnard headlamps, scuttle-mounted opera lamps and wooden artillery wheels. Part of a small private collection for the past fifteen years and used regularly up until 2008, the recently recommissioned saloon is described by the late owner's family as being `very good' vis-à-vis its engine, gearbox, electrical equipment, bodywork and paintwork.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
