Ford's ubiquitous F-Series full-size pickup trucks are as entwined with American culture as a Big Mac and fries. Now in their twelfth generation, they have been in constant production since 1948 and, not only has the immortal F-150 variant been the country's top selling truck for the last 34 years, it was the country's best-selling vehicle bar none for 24 of them.
The left-hand drive pickup now on offer is a fourth generation F-100 model built in 1964, when the standard driveline was a 223ci (3.7-litre) straight-six engine of 114hp mated to a column-change three-speed manual gearbox. It is finished in Red and features a Custom Cab for additional comfort. The vendor describes the bodywork as "strong and original", the interior where the driver's cushion is worn through to the foam as "tatty and original" and the transmission as "strong". This classic workhorse was formerly resident in California and comes complete with tow hook.
