Lot details Registration No: KL 9552 Chassis No: 106082 Mot Expiry: Exempt
According to the vendor, `KL 9552' is the earliest correct four-wheel brake car on the Bullnose Morris Club register. The Morris was supplied new by Messrs C Baker & Co to Mr A Shoobridge of St Ives, Hoo, Rochester on August 21st 1925. It was assembled in its current form between 1997 and 2007 from a collection of parts rescued by a prominent member of the aforementioned club. The body, upholstery, hood, fuel tank, half-shafts and weather equipment (including sidescreens and tonneau cover) were all replaced with new items and the radiator refurbished. The original Smiths carburettor has been supplanted by a later all-bronze SU unit. Now finished in Blue over Black and trimmed in Black leather, the Cowley has taken part in various VSCC Light Car Section events and won a first-in-class at the 2010 Bakewell Show. This charming Bullnose comes with valid road fund licence until the end of March 2014.
