Further Information:

Supplied new to Dunlop Ltd of Fort Dunlop, Birmingham as a company car for one of its main board members who had responsibility for tyre operations throughout Europe, 'TNR 999X' was subsequently registered to him and is now being offered for sale by his family. Having covered some 18,000 miles since its time with Dunlop, the Daimler appears to have been last dealer serviced on 6th May 1999 @ 105,035 miles (circa 300 miles ago). Treated to a partial restoration / refurbishment in 1992-93, accompanying tax discs suggest that the Sovereign 4.2 was last on the road during 2006. Dry stored for the past dozen years, 'TNR 999X' is running and driving but would benefit from a thorough check over / recommissioning. Originally finished in Tudor White with Black leather upholstery, the luxury saloon remains presentable albeit that the paintwork carries some blemishes and the bumpers have pitted. The condition of the interior belies the car's recorded mileage with the leather, wood and carpets all looking smart (though, the headlining has started to sag in places). The engine fires readily enough and the automatic gearbox engages drive and reverse. A potentially rewarding project, this much-loved Daimler is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document, original handbook / maintenance handbook / service record, letter from Dunlop Ltd, insurance company correspondence re the restoration and sundry old tax discs.
