Further Info:
With the 'best of the best' restored Series I 80-inch Land Rovers now fetching £50,000 or more interest has understandably grown in the 1958-1961 Series II models.
Showing just three recorded keepers on its V5C Registration Document, this particular example has only recently emerged from an extensive restoration. Efforts to preserve the Landie's authenticity included refurbishing its original chassis and making sure that the only replacement panels fitted ahead of a high quality repaint were OEM equivalent items.
As well as an engine overhaul and the rejuvenation of its braking and electrical systems, the Landie was treated to a new exhaust, tyres and interior trim plus a 'period correct' canvas tilt. The 4x4 transmission was stripped, checked and fettled too.
Still sporting its original number plate - '378 KYA' - which was issued in November 1960, this delightful and increasingly sought after Series II Landie is offered for sale with a fresh 'no advisories' MOT certificate.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
