This charming four-seater special was constructed more than 30 years ago around the shortened chassis of a Riley Kestrel Saloon. It retains its matching engine and chassis numbers - the original registration number was, however, sold off some years ago and the Riley nowadays wears the moniker 22 VJO. The four-cylinder 1500c engine was completely overhauled as recently as January of this year, and will require further running in. It was sleeved back to the original bore and fitted with a new Phoenix crankshaft, connecting rods, Omega pistons, valves and guides. The car is finished in Blue over Black and has Black interior trim. Aside of the now 'excellent' engine, the vendor regards the pre-selector gearbox as 'good', the bodywork and paintwork as 'fair', and the interior trim as 'fair/poor'. The special is being offered complete with weather gear and an extensive history file that includes bills relating to the conversion.
