Further Info:
Belgian-built to left-hand drive specification, chassis 4470399 is understood to have spent time in a Dutch museum before being imported to the UK by Brooks auctioneers during 1991. Sold to its late owner - who subsequently became chairman of The Model A Ford Club of Great Britain - by Bentley specialist Stanley Mann the following year for £5,900, the 45-B Coupe was nevertheless in need of extensive restoration. Taking some twelve years to complete, its `frame up' refurbishment included a mechanical overhaul, repaint and re-trim. Road registered as `WAS 738' on January 1st 2004, the two-seater participated in every MAFCGB Annual Tour from then until 2011. Fitted with a slightly earlier Model A engine whilst on the Continent (number A1062002), the 45-B Coupe remains highly presentable. Thought to have covered some 12,400 miles since its rejuvenation, the Ford's last tax disc expired on 31st December 2014. A degree of recommissioning would be advisable given its recent inactivity but this handsome fixed head coupe has charm aplenty and is offered for sale with V5C Registration Document and sundry paperwork.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
