Offered here is a 1981-manufactured 308GTSi, a righthand drive targa-top coupe, which is finished in the traditional Rosso Corsa with Crema interior. The entrant, who has only driven this Italian classic 1500 miles and is reluctantly parting with it only due to having insufficient leisure time to be able to enjoy it, believes the 51,500 miles displayed when entered to be the genuine total mileage.

There have been seven previous owners and cherished registration changes. The body was restored and the colour changed in 1990, and the 8-cylinder engine rebuilt around 6000 miles ago. A full sports exhaust system in stainless steel with life-time guarantee was fitted 500 miles ago, when the manifolds were said to be renewed. Front bumper, badges and battery have been freshly renewed.

Current condition of chassis, body panels, paintwork and trim are described as being excellent, with only a small blister to the paint declared below the offside front wheel. Said also to be in excellent mechanical order are the 3-litre motor and 5-speed manual transmission. Due to the personal preference of the vendor, the drive belt for the air-con, which is said to work, has been disconnected.

The car is claimed to be HPI checked out and clear, while the history file is said to be comprehensive with bills detailing work done back to 1988. The current registration, which, according to a valuation certificate on file, is said to be worth £950 and a fitted car cover is included.
