Lot details Registration No: GPA 374 Chassis No: S2E/171300 Mot Expiry: Exempt
Unveiled in 1935, the Morris Eight was better equipped than most of its competitors and boasted electric wipers, synchromesh on the upper two gearbox ratios and effective Lockheed hydraulic brakes. The range included both Two- and Four-Seat Tourers. One of the latter, `GPA 374' was delivered new to a Guildford lady who apparently only kept it for five months. The ensuing owner, also from Guildford, was clearly more enamoured of it, as they retained it until 1952. It was the subject of a full and comprehensive restoration in the 1970s, which would seem to have been well carried out, as the Morris still appears to be in good order and is now presented with a fine patina. It is finished Green over Black and trimmed in Green and the surround to the radiator grille is now polished rather than painted. A delightful Tourer ready to please a new owner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
