Lot details Registration No: WF 9730 Chassis No: APE2592255 Mot Expiry: None
This Austin 7, a 1937-built Opal drophead, is claimed by the entrant to be in good running order, although currently it does not have an MOT and will need to be re-registered following restoration. However, the 747cc four-cylinder is claimed to be in good running order, having been used by the vendor's children to learn to drive in the fields.
The original logbook showing the WF 9730 registration is included in the documents file as are a copy of it last registration and a VSCC recommendation for the retention of its original number plate.
We understand that, four years ago, the A7 had a major service carried out by model `guru' Don Rawson, there being a bill detailing work he carried out. It was believed to have been raced in the early days of the VSCC as evidenced by period Speedex wheels and racing tyres.
Offering enormous potential, this late 1930s and VSCC/A7 event eligible project is offered here today entirely `Without Reserve' so the highest bidder today will be taking it on.
PLEASE NOTE: This vehicle is a non runner.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
