The Range Rover is a large luxury four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle launched in 1970 and is now in its fourth generation. In 1967, the first Range Rover prototype was built with the classic Range Rover shape clearly discernible although with a different front grille and headlight configuration. The design of the Range Rover was eventually finalised and signed off in 1969. After 25 years from the introduction of the first-generation Range Rover, the second-generation Range Rover model, designation P38A, was introduced for the 1995 model year with an updated version of the Rover V8 engine. The new model offered more equipment and premium trims positioning the vehicle above the Land Rover Discovery to face ever increasing competition in the SUV marketplace. Just as AMG is synonymous with the Mercedes-Benz performance division and Fords with RS Cosworth, badges on the boot can always be relied upon to supply thrills on demand. Overfinch has been connected to Range Rover (and Land Rover) since the 1970's offering something a little more 'exuberant' to the world's best four-wheel drive car ever built. Overfinch, in association with the world-famous gunmaker, Holland & Holland, produced a limited-edition Range Rover in which standard extras of electric windows, electric sunroof, electric heated seats, tinted windows, radio, central locking, power steering and a stack CD player, were added. Other bespoke Holland & Holland features included unique saddle leather, gun stock wood veneers, picnic tables, satellite navigation, TV screens fitted to front head rests, Holland & Holland inlays, mudguards and over carpets and in some instances a bespoke gun cabinet.

Finished in Tintern Green with a Bridle leather interior, this Holland and Holland special edition has covered 77,900 miles and has had just 3 former keepers from new. Understood to be 1 of just 93 UK-supplied examples ‘X804 JRV’ is offered with its original book pack, service record and a collection of invoices. There are walnut picnic tables for those in the back to enjoy, plus another table cunningly hidden in the boot, which can be assembled and used outside for your quails’-egg-and-Champagne picnic. The standard car cost up to £70,000, making them as expensive then as they are rare now. Offered with a fresh MOT certificate and current V5C document.
