Lot details
One of the rarest and most sought after of all the early 'manufacturer' posters, this famous artwork by Francisco Tamagno depicts the sprawling Peugeot factory at closing time, with thousands of employees riding Peugeot cycles away from the factory gates, alongside the company director driving his then brand new 1907 Peugeot open tourer. The famous Peugeot lion keeps a watchful eye over the factory (later becoming the factory radiator mascot, designed by M.Marx).
This imposing Lithograph, measures a huge 46.2 x 62.8 inches (117 x 160 cm) and is professionally mounted on linen for preservation. One of only a handful left in existence and an extremely rare opportunity.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
