Lot details Registration No: DCM750D Chassis No: 11102122083222 Mot Expiry: Feb 2015
Powered by a 2496cc straight-six engine and capable of some 117mph, the handsome Paul Bracq-styled 250SE Coupe was only in production from 1965-1967. Reputedly one of just 235 RHD examples made, `DCM 750D' features automatic transmission and was garaged for many years before being acquired by its last registered keeper via our July 2004 auction. Covering an average of 1,400 miles per annum since then, the four-seater now shows an unwarranted 82,000 miles to its odometer. Finished in Green over Ivory with nicely patinated (and seemingly original) Caramel upholstery, the past few years have seen the Mercedes-Benz receive attention to its engine (new timing chain, cylinder head gasket, valve stem oil seals), electronic ignition, rear suspension, steering, radiator and brake servo / master cylinder. Further benefiting from a recent c.£12,000 respray (including two new wings) and servicing by marque specialist Nick Webster, `DCM 750D' is offered for sale with owner's manual, sundry paperwork and fresh MOT.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
