'810 UYF' is a notably late example of only 656 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupes to be fitted with a 3.8-litre engine. It is particularly unusual in having been equipped with automatic transmission (including 'Speed Hold' function) from new. A lefthand drive export model it was owned from 1996 until last year by a William C Alexander of Kansas, USA. Though there are no supporting invoices, the Jaguar has clearly been the subject of much restoration work and the effect of its resplendent Red bodywork is heightened by very shiny brightwork and a smartly presented Black leather interior. The vendor notes that the car bore several road rally stickers when he acquired it which, combined with its apparently lively performance, suggests the engine may have been breathed upon at some stage. This matching numbers XK comes complete with Kansas Title Certificate, V5C and an MOT valid into June 2015.
