We are indebted to the vendor for the following description:

"Fully serviced with thousands recently spent, 12 months MOT, ready to drive and enjoy 1988 Series One Lancia Thema 8.32 presented in a dark metallic grey with black leather interior. The series one has minor cosmetic changes over the series two, but more importantly, it doesn't have a catalytic convertor, which means it produced 215 BHP compared to the 205 BHP of the Series Two. 3.0-litre V8 Ferrari engine with roughly 3,500 made in total worldwide (around 1,900 Series Ones made).

This car was sold new in Italy and brought over in 1998 when the car was only 10 years old.
It was then UK Registered in 1999 and has only two previous owners since being in the UK.
(registered in the wife's name, then due to a divorce was put into the husband's name).
The car was in use until 2007 and then was put into dry storage until 2016 when a company called Bell Classics (high end classic car specialist) purchased the car to use for chauffeuring customers to and from the train station etc. They carried out a huge amount of work to the car to get it back on the road. List of work carried out is as follows:

Timing belt tensioners
Timing belt kit
Air filter
Oil filter
Various gaskets
HT lead clips
Distributor seals
Aux belt
Thermostat
Crankshaft sensors
New fuel pump
Fuel filter
Front brake pads
Rear brake pads
Front disks
Rear disks
Fuel lines where needed
Brake lines where needed
Brake flexies
Shock absorber dust covers
Steering bellow
Silencer clamps
Ignition stabilisers
Engine mounts
Control arm bushes
Shaft seals
Anti-roll bar bushes
Electronic connectors
Full powerflex suspension kit
Steering rack gators
New clutch kit
Battery kill switch
New battery
New door handles

They also removed the engine with front subframe, repainted cam covers, repainted plenum, powder coated front slam panel, rebuilt throttle bodies, removed rear subframe, powder coated front and rear subframes, brake calliper overhaul, four new tyres and so on.

Full engine out service, all new fluids, full brake system overhaul and full suspension rebuild.

After all this work was carried out, new management chose to sell the car (added up hours spent on the car would have cost £20,000 in labour).

I then purchased the car from them, got the car MOT'd, and currently drive her nearly every day and love it. Drives beautifully, plenty of power, a very healthy strong engine with good oil pressure, stainless steel exhaust system sounds great and really puts a smile on your face.
Electric spoiler works as it should too.

Bodywork is in great usable condition overall, not perfect but good condition. No rust, but a few little scratches and bits of paint fade in some places. Interior is in great condition.

Displaying only c.28,400 km which unfortunately I cannot verify but the interior does not show much wear.

All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.

You can collect your new pride and joy from our venue until 1pm the day following the sale or our partners are on hand to help arrange safe transportation:
