The Caribbean's more memorable styling cues emanated from the company's 1952 Pan American show car. It was positioned as a halo model and produced from 1953 through 1956. By then it had become a luxury range in its own right, with the choice of both Convertible and Hardtop versions. The Caribbean on offer is a Convertible from the final year, of which only 276 examples were manufactured. Finished inside and out in its original livery of White, Orange and Black, the four-seater is equipped with a potent 374ci V8 OHV engine, Ultramatic transmission and 'Torsion Level' suspension. This rare and exciting item of automotive Americana is worthy of a full restoration and comes complete with a good secondhand front fender.
