Lot details Registration No: VOV747S Chassis No: 13888 Mot Expiry: Aug 2014
Unveiled at the Paris Salon in 1973, the wedge-shaped 308 2+2 was a ground breaking model for Ferrari in several respects, being the first to be powered by a mid-mounted V8 engine and the first to sport Bertone rather than Pininfarina bodywork. A total of 2,826 had been produced by the time the model was superseded by the Mondial in 1980.This pretty right-hand drive example has been treated to replacement cam belts, a brake overhaul and a bare metal respray following 10 years of dry storage in its previous ownership. The vendor informs us that the service history and old MOTs support the indicated mileage of just 48,163 and now views the bodywork as "excellent" and the Rosso Red paintwork, Black trimmed interior, 250bhp 3.0-litre V8 engine and five-speed manual gearbox as "good". He is offering 'VOV 747S' complete with MOT valid until August next year.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
