Introduced as a replacement for the range-topping 365BB, the 512 remained in production for over a decade. This left-hand drive example is one of just 1,007 512 BBi's produced by the factory and was first registered in Italy in 1982. In 1983 it was exported to the USA, before returning to Europe in 2010 to form part of a large private Ferrari collection. The vendor advises this "stunning and rare motor car" has covered less than 18,000 miles from new and that the bodywork is in "outstanding" condition. He further informs us that no expense has been spared on the car's maintenance and general upkeep, and that in February 2012 a major engine service was carried out by renowned Ferrari specialist Gary Tait, which included cambelts and metering heads, with further works having just been completed by DK Engineering.
Finished appropriately in red with tan interior complemented by black carpets, this most attractive Berlinetta Boxer has covered only a nominal mileage since the above works were completed and is accompanied by a Swansea V5 document, owner's manuals, owner's service book, tool kit and Ferrari wallet.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
