Lot details Registration No: CAS 392 Chassis No: TC2841 Mot Expiry: May 2014
Built on May 22nd 1947, chassis TC2841 is thought to have begun life in Berkshire. Though, an accompanying continuation buff logbook shows that it belonged to Michael Protherough of Donington Hall, Derbyshire by June 1963. Subsequently owned by Rodney Pepper of Crofton Park, David Lansdown of Paddington, William Van Steyn of Chelsea, Richard Robbins of High Wycombe and Henry Wakerley of Oakham, the two-seater spent many years off the road before being re-registered as `CAS 392' on 17th May 2002. Entering the current ownership some three months later, the MG has since benefited from attention to its water pump, floor, rear shock absorbers and carburettors plus new weather gear and fresh `Dunlop'-pattern tyres. Presenting as an older, partial restoration and fitted with a correct type but replacement XPAG engine, this appealing TC is MOT'd until May 2014.
