The Montesa Cota 25A was a children's trial motorcycle produced from the early 1970s to the early 1980s. Powered by a 48.76cc two-stroke engine, it was available with a choice of automatic or two- or three-speed manual transmissions. The distinctive bright red one-piece saddle and tank assembly changed to white in 1981. Surviving Cotas are rare, but ideal for enthusiasts with children who would like to get into historic trials.
This c.1975 Cota 25A appears in very good order having spent some time on display as part of a private collection of small-capacity motorcycles. It has, in fact, been well and truly cosseted, going on display in the vendor’s house. It was restored several years ago and still presents extremely well, but some recommissioning may be required before use. Please note there is no paperwork with this lot.
