Lot details

Chassis No: IG6KD52Y6TU229411
Mot Expiry: None

Cadillac has always been accepted as the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of the US motor industry and despite fierce competition from marques such as Lincoln and Imperial it is a title it holds to this day. The De Ville moniker was first used by Cadillac in 1949 on the hardtop coupe version of its standard 62 Series saloons and was then used to signify coupe models or from 1962 four-door hardtop saloon versions of the full size Cadillac line. Downsized in 1990 when the De Ville became part of the General Motors ‘C’ range along with Buick Electra and Oldsmobile 98 Regency, the De Ville was now a front-wheel drive design powered by a 4087cc V8 transversely mounted engine developing 132 bhp. For 1993 the Northstar system was introduced comprising of a 4572cc V8 engine with 32-valve dual overhead camshaft combined with electronically controlled transaxle, road sensing suspension, speed sensitive steering, anti-lock brakes and traction control and the De Ville name continues to this day.

The 1995 De Ville 4-door Saloon for sale here today has been owned by its present owner for 6 years and is being sold only because of the illness of the regular driver. In its original left hand drive format and presented in black with a black leather interior the car is as fully specified as you would expect a Cadillac to be with air conditioning, electric seats, electric windows, alloy wheels and boot mounted CD multi-changer. Described as being ‘good for its age’ there are said to be some small pieces of trim missing on the nearside rear wing which now reside in the boot and there are invoices on file for a recent new radiator and battery, over £1,300 having been spent in the last year. Offered complete with owners handbook, the 41,000 recorded miles are believed but not guaranteed to be correct. Certainly more individual than a BMW or Mercedes-Benz, this Cadillac offers a huge amount of luxury for not much money.

All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.

You can collect your new pride and joy from our venue until 1pm the day following the sale or our partners are on hand to help arrange safe transportation:
