If the arrival of the H1 triple had established Kawasaki as a manufacturer of performance motorcycle the H2 750cc triple confirmed it. Totally focused on performance, the new model could cover the standing quarter in (well) under 13 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 125 mph while despatching a gallon of fuel in 17 miles. With a claimed 74 bhp at 6,800 rpm and maximum torque of 57 ft lb at only 300 rpm less combined with a pronounced rear weight bias it was and is a machine that demands respect.
The example offered was purchased new by the vendor in 1974 and used by him until 1978 when it was laid up for the next 35 years. The machine, which displays only 13,950 miles on the odometer, was restored last year. Described as being in very good condition throughout following its restoration this one owner from new machine is offered with a Swansea V5C and an Mot certificate valid until the 3rd March 2015.
