Lot details Registration No: HVT779N Chassis No: 49108266A Mot Expiry: May 2005
The Staffordshire vendor tells us that he acquired his P6 2200SC, a righthand drive saloon which first left Rover's Solihull factory in 1975, from a local family who had been the owners since the mid-1980s. During their ownership as well as while in the entrant's hands, the sports saloon was always well preserved by being stored in a heated garage and only taken out in fine weather. On file, he says, are various bills detailing work carried out, handbooks and a workshop manual, as well as 16 old MOTs and the current certificate which was only issued last month.
We are told that the 2.2-litre 4-cylinder motor has excellent oil pressure, the De Dion tubes have been reconditioned, while springs, brake discs and battery have been renewed. The bodyshell is reportedly in good condition and the panels and red paintwork very good. The car has a very good black leather interior, a sports-style dash, a 1980s car radio and the carpets have been replaced. Also included are some spares including wheels and tyres.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
