Lot details Registration No: XJB729L Chassis No: 0831000852 Mot Expiry: Jan 2015
The Wankel-engined, semi-automatic Ro80 was ahead of its time when launched in 1967, but developed a reputation for the unreliability of its powerplant and only 37,398 were manufactured over the 10-year production run. For that reason, in common with others of the breed, the original engine of this very pretty Alaska Blue example has been replaced by a Mazda RX7 unit, courtesy of rotary specialist Rotechniks. Owned by NSU enthusiasts and displaying just 23,500 (unwarranted) miles, 'XJB 729L' provides a rare opportunity.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
