This overtly pretty TD has recently been repatriated from sunnier, drier climes. Its Old English White bodywork is teamed with Green leather interior trim, black hood and Silver-coloured disc wheels. It has clearly benefited from a substantial degree of refurbishment that included the replacement of the seats, carpets, hood, sidescreens, tyres etc. The vendor informs us that the MG 'has only covered 79,459 miles from new and drives beautifully', and he presently classes the bodywork, paintwork, interior trim, 1250cc XPAG engine and four-speed manual gearbox as all being in 'very good' condition, making '130 UYF' a potentially fine addition to any collection. Though visually similar to the earlier T Series cars, the TD was a full five inches wider and built around a more modern chassis derived for the Y-Type Saloon. Some 30,000 examples had been produced by the time the model was superseded by the TF in 1953 - 23,500 went to the USA alone.
