An MGB is not only a highly affordable way to go sportscar motoring, but is a completely practical proposition to own and, more importantly, to use and enjoy on an everyday basis if required. In fact, with excellent spares and model specialists availability, an MGB is a truly practical classic.
Offered here is an MGB GT, a chrome-bumpered 1973-made coupe with a believed to be genuine 93,474 miles on the clock when entered. The fixed head has been rebuilt, as confirmed by a photo record, with new panels and chromework, being refinished in as originally supplied Teal Blue, while the trim has been renewed to original spec in tan, a new full wood kit fitted including a woodrim steering wheel and the carpets replaced. The car sits on Minilites, has spots and a stereo with 10-CD stacker unit. As presented, we are told, BFJ 440L has participated in concours events, while the current cosmetic and mechanical condition is described as being excellent.
With this car is an amazingly detailed history file, which potential purchasers are advised to check out during viewing in our documents office at Buxton. For retained among the documents have been a British Motor Industry Heritage certificate confirming the manufacturing details, some bills detailing work carried out, including an engine conversion to accommodate unleaded fuel, and many previous MOTs including the latest certificate which is current until next May.
