Hailed by Cecil Clutton and John Stanford in their book `The Vintage Motor Car' as among "the three most charming small cars ever made", the Humber 8/18 featured a 985cc OISE four-cylinder engine allied to three-speed manual transmission. Exported new to Australia by Tozer, Kersley & Milbourne, chassis 956 was bodied there by the Apex Motor Co. of Argyle Street, Fitzroy. Repatriated during 1973, the Tourer has spent two terms in the current ownership totalling some sixteen years. Reportedly a multiple show-winner since 2002, more recent work has seen the 8/18 treated to an engine overhaul. Described by the vendor as being in "excellent overall" condition this charming Vintage Humber is offered for sale with "a huge detailed history file" and current MOT/tax disc.
All successful bids must be paid in full by midday the day after the auction at the latest.
